I never heard of this series before but a POC protagonist that's a badass tattoo artist? That sounds so cool *_* Is this a standalone in the series or is there a new character for each book? Because the first book seems like it has different characters.

Such a sassy cover! I haven't started this series yet, but have a copy of Burying Water and have been a bit reluctant to start it, despite the glowing reviews I've seen. I didn't have much luck with Ten Breaths, it was one of the first new adult books I'd tried and found the sexual content was so out of place. But it was wonderfully written, so looking forward to seeing what she does with this series. Thanks for sharing Blessie <3
